I planned to stick with a steady theme of lines and boxes to illustrate important pieces of information in the news letter and I think that it worked well with connecting all 4 pages and bringing it together. I also stuck with primarily a theme of the lighter orange, green, and light blue that Mid-Ohio uses. I actually stuck with what I had originally came up with which is a miracle because I always completely change my mind from the time I start to the time I finish. I would have liked more photos but they really did not fit anywhere or look right in the other pages. I also was a little nervous about the negative space that I have, I really like to utilize negative space because I feel it makes it more dynamic if used in the right way...I'm not sure if I accomplished that in other people's eyes, but I really like what I did with the negative space so I kept it how it is. Overall I am happy with my newsletter and relieved to have it done!!

So i came to a whole new idea than I started with in the beginning of this project...It was originally going to be the slogan "stands the test of time" for amish original's furniture, but I could not express it in 3 different effective ways as well as I thought that I could. I thought of a new slogan, which is "nature's favorite accessory" because amish furniture uses purely solid wood, which is a natural material found in nature. SO I took 3 different pieces of wooden furniture and placed them in different scenic areas in nature and presented them as being part of nature...

after critiques it was said that the first image looks like the smoking campaign so i changed it around to look like a crossword puzzle and in connecting the word thinking and the word differently through an invisible N, which is read although not there

Final design for project 1

Project 1- TShirt

So I started this project off thinking of the kind of t shirts I normally see and then trying to find some connection with the theme of thinking differently. When I thought of that I came across brains, thought bubbles, outside the box, and then I decided that I'd stick with what I like and partly what my style is based on which is simplicity...I played with just the words that are to be used rather than pictures to find an interesting layout that expressed differentiality.

I am having some trouble uploading the thumbnails but they will be up as soon as I get help..
